Based on the Academy Award-winning Dreamworks movie, Cincinnati Music Theatre's presentation of Shrek is delightfully enchanting, hugely entertaining and definitely larger than life, with a brilliant blend of light-hearted humor and satire, with fantastic original songs by Jeanine Tesori and a guffaw-a-minute book by David Lindsay-Abaire.

Looks are literally skin deep as our hero learns, when the lonely ogre is called upon to rescue an imprisoned princess and a kingdom from the clutches of a diminutive yet wicked ruler, Lord Farquaad. With the help of his "trusty steed", the motor-mouthed, hyperactive Donkey, he sets out to reclaim his swampy home from the hundreds of homeless fairytale creatures forced to squat on his land by Farquaad. Desperate to be left alone - Shrek sets out on his quest, with far-reaching consequences for everybody!
