Get Happy: Angela Ingersoll Sings Judy Garland

Get Happy: Angela Ingersoll Sings Judy Garland at Rouse Theatre

Why see Get Happy: Angela Ingersoll Sings Judy Garland?

As Seen On TV

One of the most beloved voices of the 20th century, Judy Garland still remains relevant today as both an artist and performer, as well as a LGBTQ+ icon. Angela Ingersoll and her stellar live band bring you a celebration paying homage to the divinity that was Judy, a performance for which she was nominated for an Emmy Award when it was broadcast on PBS. Featuring beloved songs including "Over The Rainbow", "That's Entertainment!" "The Trolley Song", "The Man That Got Away" and, of course, "Get Happy"!

Born in 1922 in Minnesota, Judy Garland was a child star before her stunning turn as Dorothy in MGM's technicolor fever dream, The Wizard of Oz, endeared her to audiences internationally. As one of Hollywood's hottest stars, she starred in many Golden Age hits. Away from movie screens, Garland was also a sought-after singer, with her now-legendary 1961 album, Judy At Carnegie Hall, marking her as the first woman to win a Grammy for Album of The Year.
