Cincinnati Ballet's celebrated family series returns with the heartfelt favorite, Pinocchio! Performed by Cincinnati Ballet's second company and young dancers from the Otto M. Budig Academy, Pinocchio tells the story of one little puppet's quest to become a real boy! At only an hour long, this narrated one-act production is a perfect introduction to ballet and theater for your little ones. Full of vibrant costumes and dazzling sets, come on a journey of discovery as our little wooden puppet friend heads out on one big adventure! What's more, with games and activities in the lobby before performances start, it's a family day out you won't forget. 

What Is The Story?

Carved from a piece of animated wood by a toy maker who yearns for a son, a puppet named Pinocchio magically comes to life following a falling star and a heartfelt wish. However, Pinocchio is not the best-behaved of young puppets (his nose will certainly attest to that). The troublesome marionette, along with his opinionated conscience, Jiminy Cricket, embarks on a fantastical journey to discover his true self and to become what he has always wished to be - a real human boy.
