Why See Hozier?
Wasteland, baby! tour
With a big, soulful voice that plunges to dark, melancholy depths and ascends into wild, fierce howls, Andrew Hozier-Byrne has proved that the hype is justified; the video for his first ever single, "Take Me to Church" went viral in 2013, amassing just under 12 million views to date. Now, after a few quiet years, the singer-songwriter returns with a brand new tour in anticipation of his sophomore record, Wasteland, Baby!
Raised on Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Motown and the soul-stirring voices of Nina Simone and her sisters in jazz while discovering the music of Tom Waits and Pink Floyd as he grew older, Hozier brings two distinct musical worlds together, resulting in a triumph of accomplished songwriting and toe-tapping bluesy grooves.
