Almost 70 yr. old Alice Cooper put on an entertaining show and had the crowd on their feet. The entire band put their hearts & souls into the show. The addition of Nita Strauss was a plus for the already tight band.
My fifth time to see Deep Purple turned out to be disappointing. They sure had a tough act to follow after Alice's show. It's time for Deep Purple to retire and sit back and enjoy life.

EDGAR AND ALICE ROCKED IT PURPLE TIRED
Edgar fired the crowd up as only he could - still owns the instrumentals. Alice is a strong as ever and was one of the best shows I have ever seen, WOW. Deep Purple was very disappointing the sound and the vocals were awful - probably the worse performance by a band I have ever seen. They definitely need to hang it up.

THE SHOW BELONGED TO ALICE
I have seen Alice Cooper 9 times, and he never disappoints. Alice was in top form and
continues to cement his legacy as one of rock's great performers. Every song in his set,
from newer numbers like "Paranoiac Personality" and "Brutal Planet", to classics from the
70's and 80's were full of energy and unparalleled showmanship. The same cannot be said
for Deep Purple, who came nowhere close to matching the intensity or quality of
performance of Alice. Ian Gillian sounded incredibly tired and strained. Alice should have
closed the show. End of story.

POSTING LATE BUT SAW ALICE COOPER IN BOSTON LAST NIGHT
All I can say is Edgar should have had a longer set, he was pretty good. Alice rocked the
house on this night in Mansfield, MA. Deep Purple (one of my favs in the past) was
sharply disappointing. Ian was tired and disappearing most of the night and the songs
were ALL off somehow. Sorry boys, time to hang it all up! Saw Alice Cooper on his own
last night (3/6/18) in Boston on his own and again he rocked the house. Made me think
of this concert again!

COOPER ROCKED, PURPLE HAS FADED.
Edgar winter opened the show, and put on an energetic performance to start the night off right..
Alice Cooper came out and owned the stage and crowd as he is definitely known to do. Saw him 30 years ago, and his show and voice are just as great today as ever.
Deep Purple was a huge disappointment, especially through the first half of the show. No energy and no showmanship, especially from the long time members of the band. They did have a stellar performance during Hush and Space Truckin, but other than that, the band completely fizzled, and the crowd energy after Cooper was gone.
Bottom line, in the future, spend your money to see Alice, but avoid the Purple.

ALICE COOPER ROCKS IN HIS HOMETOWN
first off the Edgar Winter Band, they put on an entertaining show highlighted by Free Ride and some steller musicianship throughout.
The Alice Cooper Band had the sold out crowd on their feet from beginning to end and all I kept thinking was how was Deep Purple going to follow this?
Well, they didn't. They looked tired, this band is washed up and didn't deserve headliner status based on the past.

ALICE COOPER & DEEP PURPLE - 9/2/2014
Alice Cooper was good. This smart rocker surrounded himself with great young and energetic musicians who performed well. Excellent drummer and a great solo lady guitarist. Rock on!
Purple looked tired and slow. Ian struggled with songs as his voice is getting weak. Don and Steve carry this band now. Full respect to these guys for rocking for so long and it is sad to see them slowing down over the past 30 years. 'Hush' was their best song of the night. I hope that this was not their last appearance in Toronto, as they did not come out for the encore song and many fans were disappointed by this. Rock on!
