I’ve seen several Cirque du Soleil shows and loved all of them except Axel. It was incredibly stupid, disorganized and made no sense. I could have handled the lack of plot had it been visually interesting, but it was boring and completely underwhelming. The “robot” dog (could have been a large cat, I couldn’t tell) was operated by a person whose legs functioned as the creatures hind legs, but it ended up looking like the human was, well, performing inappropriate acts with the robot animal. I was going to leave at intermission, but the show was stopped due to technical difficulties so I took the opportunity to leave then.

CONTINUOUS SENSORIAL AGGRESSION
This was quite an abomination, I left after 45 min. Way too loud, with constant overamplified industrial noises. Flashes of light that will leave a spot in your retina. While some of the performances were good, you can hardly concentrate on them because there's so much motion & color on the ice, it's like trying to concentrate on them with a kaleidoscope in the background. Others just dragged too long. Music is just electric guitar & synthesizer, with songs that sound like every other song out there.

CONFUSED AND ULTIMATELY BORED...
Very disappointed since I saw the first ice show from Cirque and loved it. I know that their storyliness tend to be vague but this show was utterly confusing. Choppy and disjointed with an incredible set design. At one point they had a martial arts performance that made no sense. Most of all was the music...totally flat except for one or two scenes. Not worth seeing and it makes me sad to say that.

THIS WAS AWFUL
I went to Axel, because my daughter and I saw Crystal (Cirque's first show on ice) and loved it. This couldn't be further from that. It's like it's not even a Cirque show. Bad singing, mediocre skating and acrobatics. It was truly painful to watch. We left at the intermission.

AXEL SHOULD BE AXED
In short, an incoherent mess. The skating wasn’t up to par for a professional icecapade show, and wasn’t as good as other CDS shows, which I’ve seen as big productions in Vegas, and smaller traveling productions. It was loud and disjointed. We left during intermission and I will never go to another ice performance by CDS again. Stick with what works!

SO DISAPPOINTED..
I watched a 'toruk' before. That show was the best show I've ever seen. I expected to see that level on this show, but that was my mistake. It seemed like all the dancers needed more practice.. every single of them danced differently. Singer's throat was in bad condition. stage was smaller than I thought.
